warning shot

Two years ago, I had yellow jackets living in my wall. At a party, someone suggested I reason with them, and politely ask them to leave. I did. And they left. It's true. This year, the yellow jackets came back. Again I had a chat with them, but this time they didn't listen. So, I gave them just a warning shot, and they apparently took heed. I have not seen them since.
